From May 1st there are some changes. Starting this Sunday, patients will be allowed to receive two visitors per day in their room instead of the previous one. And that for all hospital services.

In exceptional circumstances, such as a patient at the end of life or a patient admitted to the maternity ward, additional visits may be authorized.

No more time limit

The duration of visits as such is no longer limited. In addition, a doctor’s approval is no longer required to visit a patient.

Anyone entering a hospital must observe various measures from May 1st. At the entrance of the hospital you must always present a Covid check where your identity will be verified. Hand disinfection upon arrival at a hospital remains mandatory. Wearing a mask, as well as barrier gestures, remains valid throughout the duration of the hospital stay.

According to the latest daily health report, 19 people are currently hospitalized in Luxembourg for Covid-19 infection. Among them, three patients are being treated in intensive care.
